For sending emails to large groups of people one of the best tools is mail chimp - where we have an account for MEDSnetwork.

in mail chimp you can import data sets with names, nationality, needs visa, country email address and use the functions of mail chimp to individualise the emails. It is also good for sending documents as they get saved one the server and can be updated on the same link.

one useful little function is the yes or no button which recipients can click on in the email to eg. confirm their participation in an event
